بَابٌ فِيمَا اشْتَرَكَ فِيهِ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا - مِنَ الْفَضْلِ .
The virtues shared by al-Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him)
Majma al-Zawaid 15086 — The virtues shared by al-Hasan and al-Husayn
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ قَالَ : بِتُّ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَرَأَيْتُ عِنْدَهُ شَخْصًا ، فَقَالَ لِي : " يَا حُذَيْفَةُ هَلْ رَأَيْتَ ؟ " . قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " هَذَا مَلَكٌ لَمْ يَهْبِطْ مُنْذُ بُعِثْتُ ، أَتَانِي اللَّيْلَةَ يُبَشِّرُنِي أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ سَيِّدَا شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو عُمَرَ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ - أَوْ أَبُو عَمْرَةَ - وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو عُمَرَ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ - أَوْ أَبُو عَمْرَةَ - وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One night I stayed at the home of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I saw someone with him. He asked me: "Did you see him?" I replied: "Yes!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is an angel who has never descended to the earth since I was sent. He came to me last night and gave me the glad tidings that Hasan and Husayn are the leaders of the youth of the people of Paradise." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi recorded it in abridged form.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Abu Umar al-Ashja'i, or perhaps Abu Amrah, and I do not know him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
