Majma al-Zawaid 15012 — The virtue of the Ahl al-Bayt
وَعَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ : أَنْزِلُوا آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الرَّأْسِ مِنَ الْجَسَدِ ، وَبِمَنْزِلَةِ الْعَيْنَيْنِ مِنَ الرَّأْسِ ; فَإِنَّ الْجَسَدَ لَا يَهْتَدِي إِلَّا بِالرَّأْسِ ، وَإِنَّ الرَّأْسَ لَا يَهْتَدِي إِلَّا بِالْعَيْنَيْنِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ زِيَادُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Give the family of Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) the position that the head holds in the body, and the position that the eyes hold in the head, for the body is guided only by the head, and the head is guided only by the eyes.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ziyad bin al-Mundhir, who is matruk (abandoned).
