Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14977

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: As for the Ahl al-Bayt from whom Allah Almighty has removed impurity and whom He has purified thoroughly, he counted them on his hand and said: They are five: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This verse was revealed in the house of Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Atiyyah, who is da'if (weak).
