Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) adjured the people, asking: "Do you know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) climbed Mount Uhud, and the mountain began to shake, while on it were Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, Sayyiduna Umar and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'O Uhud! Stay firm in your place, for upon you are a prophet, a siddiq (truthful one) and two martyrs'?" (Allamah al-Haythami says: I say:) The hadith narrated by Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was recorded by Imam al-Tirmidhi, and in it he recorded these words: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) climbed Mount Hira.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
