Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1488

In al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, al-Tabarani has recorded these words from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in a state of janabah and intended to eat something or to sleep, he would perform ablution. Its chain contains a narrator, Ishaq bin Ibrahim al-Qarqasani, and the chain of this narration is hasan (good).
