وَبِسَنَدِهِ قَالَ : كَانَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ ، جَعَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَلَى ظَهْرِي حَتَّى اسْتَقَلَّ وَصَارَ عَلَى الصَّخْرَةِ ، وَاسْتَتَرَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا ، وَأَوَّمَأَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى وَرَاءِ ظَهْرِي : " هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ - أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ لَا يَرَاكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي هَوْلٍ إِلَّا أَنْقَذَكَ مِنْهُ " .
With the same chain it is reported that he said: "On the day of Uhud I carried the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on my back until he rose up; he got onto the rock and took cover from the polytheists. Then he gestured with his hand like this, that is, he pointed with his blessed hand behind my back, and said: 'This is Jibril, and he has told me that he will not see you in any terror on the Day of Resurrection without rescuing you from it.'"
