عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " يَطْلُعُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " . فَدَخَلَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، فَسَلَّمَ وَصَعِدَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ ، وَكِلَاهُمَا ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: A man from the people of Paradise will appear before you. Then Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) came in; he gave the greeting of peace and went up.
Al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains, and both of them are da'if (weak).
