بَابُهَا ، فَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْعِلْمَ فَلْيَأْتِهِ مِنْ بَابِهِ " .

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَنَا مَدِينَةُ الْعِلْمِ ، وَعَلِيٌّ بَابُهَا ، فَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْعِلْمَ فَلْيَأْتِهِ مِنْ بَابِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْهَرَوِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am the city of knowledge, and Ali is its gate; whoever wishes to reach the knowledge should come to it through its gate."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Abd al-Salam bin Salih al-Harawi, who is da'if (weak).
