Umayrah bin Sa'd narrates: I was present with Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) when, on the pulpit, he adjured the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that whoever had heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) speak on the Day of Ghadir Khumm should bear witness to it. Twelve men stood up, among them Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri and Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with them), and they bore witness that they had heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever I am the mawla of, Ali is also his mawla. O Allah, befriend whoever befriends him, and be hostile to whoever is hostile to him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir. There is some weakness in its chain.
