Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14625

Nadhir narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) say to Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) on the Day of the Camel: "O Talhah! I ask you, by Allah, did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'O Allah, befriend whoever befriends him, and be hostile to whoever is hostile to him'?" Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "Yes." He remembered it and went away.
Al-Bazzar recorded it; only his son narrates from Nadhir.
