وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : تُوُفِّيَ عُمَرُ ، وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَمْسٍ وَخَمْسِينَ ، وَقَالَ : أَسْرَعَ إِلَيَّ الشَّيْبُ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَخْوَالِي بَنِي الْمُغِيرَةِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, he was fifty-five years old. He said: Grey hair came to me quickly because it is something that has come to me from my maternal relatives, Banu al-Mughirah.
