عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ - فَقَالَ : أَقْرِئْ عُمَرَ السَّلَامَ ، وَقُلْ لَهُ : إِنَّ رِضَاهُ حُكْمٌ ، وَإِنَّ غَضَبَهُ عِزٌّ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْعُمَرِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me and said: Convey the greeting of peace to Umar, and tell him that his pleasure is a judgement (that is, justice), and his anger is a source of might."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Khalid bin Zayd al-Umari, who is da'if (weak).
