Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14406

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On Thursday evening the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated, saying: "O Allah! Grant Islam strength through Umar bin al-Khattab or through Amr bin Hisham." Then the next day, on Friday, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Qasim bin Uthman al-Basri, who is da'if (weak).
