وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ : " هَذَانِ سَيِّدَا كُهُولِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَابِسٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): "These two are the leaders of all the mature men among the people of Paradise, of the earlier and the later generations."
Bazzar recorded it, and Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Ali bin Abis, who is da'if (weak).
