Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 14328

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) consulted Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and they gave him their advice; and the opinion of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) proved correct in the matter.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
