وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَفِي بَيْتِي ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فِي الْفِنَاءِ وَأَصْحَابُهُ ، وَالسِّتْرُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ ، إِذْ أَقْبَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى عَتِيقٍ مِنَ النَّارِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَإِنَّ اسْمَهُ الَّذِي سَمَّاهُ أَهْلُهُ : لَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، فَغَلَبَ عَلَيْهِ اسْمُ عَتِيقٍ " .
قُلْتُ : بَعْضُهُ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ مُوسَى الطَّلْحِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
قُلْتُ : بَعْضُهُ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ مُوسَى الطَّلْحِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: By Allah! One day I was in my house, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions were in the courtyard, with a curtain between me and them. Meanwhile Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever would like to see someone freed from Hell should look at Abu Bakr. The name that his family gave him is Abdullah bin Uthman, but the name Atiq prevailed over it." (Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Part of this narration was recorded by al-Tirmidhi.
