بَابُ مَا يَحْصُلُ لِأُمَّتِهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مِنَ اسْتِغْفَارِهِ بَعْدَ وَفَاتِهِ .

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَلَائِكَةً سَيَّاحِينَ ، يُبَلِّغُونَ عَنْ أُمَّتِي السَّلَامَ " . قَالَ : وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " حَيَاتِي خَيْرٌ لَكَمْ تُحْدِثُونَ وَيُحَدَثُ لَكَمْ ، وَوَفَاتِي خَيْرٌ لَكَمْ تُعْرَضُ عَلَيَّ أَعْمَالُكُمْ ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْ خَيْرٍ حَمَدَتُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ ، وَمَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْ شَرٍّ اسْتَغْفَرْتُ اللَّهَ لَكَمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reports the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as saying: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has angels who roam about, and they convey to me the greetings of peace from my Ummah." The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My life is good for you: you speak and you are spoken to. And my death will also be good for you, for your deeds will be presented to me; whatever good I see, I will praise Allah Almighty for it, and whatever evil I see, I will seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty for you."
