In a narration from him, these words are recorded: He narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was commanded to pray for mercy for the people of al-Baqi', so he prayed for mercy for them; he did this three times. When the third time came, he said: "O Abu Muwayhibah, saddle my mount for me." The narrator says: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rode and I walked, until he reached them. He dismounted, and I held the mount. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: After this he mentioned the report as before.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains, and the narrators of one of them are thiqat (trustworthy). However, the first chain is from Ubayd bin Jubayr, from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him), from Sayyiduna Abu Muwayhibah (may Allah be pleased with him), while the second chain is from Ubayd bin Jubayr, from Sayyiduna Abu Muwayhibah (may Allah be pleased with him).
