Abu Ghalib narrates: I said to Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him): Narrate to us a hadith that you heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself. He said: The speech of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was the Qur'an itself. He would remember Allah abundantly, give short sermons and offer long prayers, and he did not feel it beneath him to walk along with a poor or weak person (and to stay with him) until he (the poor person) had finished his need.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its chain is hasan (good).
