وَعَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ بِالْحَجُونِ ، فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ الْمُشْرِكُونَ فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَرِنِي آيَةً الْيَوْمَ لَا أُبَالِي مَنْ كَذَّبَنِي بَعْدَهَا " . فَأَتَى فَقِيلَ : ادْعُ شَجَرَةً ، فَأَقْبَلَتْ تَخُطُّ الْأَرْضَ حَتَّى انْتَهَتْ إِلَيْهِ فَسَلَّمَتْ عَلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَهَا فَرَجَعَتْ . - قَالَ دَاوُدُ : إِلَى مَنْبَتِهَا . وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ : إِلَى مَوْضِعِهَا - فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا أُبَالِي مَنْ كَذَّبَنِي بَعْدَهَا مِنْ قَوْمِي " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَإِسْنَادُ أَبِي يَعْلَى حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was at the place of al-Hajun, and the polytheists did not accept what he said. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed: "O Allah! Show me a sign today after which I will not care about anyone who denies me." Then (an angel) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was told: "Call a tree." (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called it,) and the tree came moving over the ground to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with salam. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered it, and it went back. Here the narrator named Dawud recorded the words: "It went back to the place where it grew," and Affan recorded the words: "It went back to its own place." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After this, whoever of my people denies me, I will not care about him."
