وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ : جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : أَرِنِي آيَةً . قَالَ : " اذْهَبْ إِلَى تِلْكَ الشَّجَرَةِ فَادْعُهَا " . فَذَهَبَ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَدْعُوكِ . فَمَالَتْ عَلَى كُلِّ جَانِبٍ مِنْهَا حَتَّى قُلِعَتْ عُرُوقُهَا ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَتْ حَتَّى جَاءَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَأَمَرَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ تَرْجِعَ ، فَقَامَ الرَّجُلُ ، فَقَبَّلَ رَأْسَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ ، وَأَسْلَمَ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ حِبَّانَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Buraydah narrates: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "Show me a sign." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go to that tree and call it to come." That man went to that tree and said: "The Messenger of Allah is calling you." The tree leaned at one time to one side and at another time to the other side, until it pulled up all its roots. Then it came and reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered it: "Go back!" That man stood up, kissed the head, hands and feet of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and accepted Islam.
