عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ امْرَأَةً جَاءَتْ بِوَلَدِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ لَهُ لَمَمًا ، وَإِنَّهُ يَأْخُذُهُ عِنْدَ طَعَامِنَا فَيُفْسِدُ عَلَيْنَا طَعَامَنَا . فَمَسَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - صَدْرَهُ وَدَعَا لَهُ ، فَثَعَّ ثَعَّةً ، فَخَرَجَ مِنْ فِيهِ مِثْلُ الْجَرْوِ الْأَسْوَدِ فَشُفِيَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A woman brought her child to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! He suffers from possession by a jinn; it seizes him at our mealtimes and spoils our food for us." The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over his chest and supplicated for him. He then vomited, and something like a black puppy came out of his mouth, and he became well.
