Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the slave of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The narrator says: I think the words in the narration are: We were travelling. We camped at a place, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Sa'd! Go to that goat and milk it." The narrator says: A little earlier I had passed by that place, and there was no goat there. Then I came there, and there was a goat present whose udder was full of milk. I milked it. The narrator says: I do not know how many times. Then I entrusted this task to someone else and became busy myself with preparing the saddles, and in the meantime the goat went away. I was late in going to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "O Sa'd!" I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I became busy with the baggage, and that goat went away." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The goat has been taken away by its Lord (or its owner)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). Before this, the hadith of Sayyidah Umm Ma'bad (may Allah be pleased with her) has already passed, which is about his (the Prophet's) description and about his emigration to Madinah, and it is transmitted through various routes.
