وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : صَنَعَتْ أُمِّي طَعَامًا وَقَالَتِ : اذْهَبْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَادْعُهُ . فَجِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَسَارَرْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ : إِنَّ أُمِّي قَدْ صَنَعَتْ شَيْئًا . فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ : " قُومُوا " . فَقَامَ مَعَهُ خَمْسُونَ رَجُلًا ، فَجَلَسَ عَلَى الْبَابِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَدْخِلْ عَشَرَةً عَشَرَةً " . فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا وَفَضَلَ نَحْوُ مَا كَانَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَرِجَالُهُ وُثِّقُوا .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My mother prepared some food and said to me: "Go to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and invite him." I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and spoke to him in a whisper; I said: "My mother has prepared something." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his Companions: "Get up." Fifty men got up with him, and they sat at the door. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tell ten people at a time to come in." Those people kept eating and becoming full, and still as much food remained as there had been before.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
