وَعَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ لَبِيبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ : أُهْدِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - شَاةٌ مَسْمُومَةٌ مَصْلِيَّةٌ ، فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا هُوَ وَبِشْرُ بْنُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَعْرُورٍ ، فَمَرِضَا مَرَضًا شَدِيدًا ، ثُمَّ إِنَّ بِشْرًا مَاتَ ، فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَى الْيَهُودِيَّةِ الَّتِي أَهْدَتْهَا لَهُ فَقَالَ : " مَا أَطَعَمْتِينَا وَيْحَكِ ؟ " . قَالَتْ : أَطْعَمْتُكَ السُّمَّ . قَالَ : " مَا حَمَلَكِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ ؟ " . قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُكَ تَذْكُرُ ، فَإِنْ كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهَا لَا تَضُرُّكَ ، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُرِيحَ النَّاسَ مِنْكَ . ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَصُلِبَتْ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ . وَيَحْيَى هَذَا إِنْ كَانَ ابْنَ أَبِي لَبِيبَةَ فَقَدْ ذَكَرَهُ الذَّهَبِيُّ فِي الْمِيزَانِ وَإِنْ كَانَ ابْنَ لَبِيبَةَ فَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
Yahya bin Abd al-Rahman bin Labibah transmits from his father the statement of his grandfather: Goat meat was presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which was roasted and into which poison had been mixed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Bishr bin al-Bara' bin Ma'rur (may Allah be pleased with him) ate some of that meat, and both of them became severely ill. Sayyiduna Bishr (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away. When he passed away, he (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message summoning the Jewish woman who had sent it to him as a gift, and he said: "Woe to you! What have you fed us?" She said: "I fed you poison." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Why did you do this?" She said: "I heard you mentioning that you are a prophet, so I knew that it would not harm you; and if you were not a prophet, I had intended to relieve the people of you." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave an order concerning that woman, and she was crucified.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. As for the narrator Yahya: if he is Ibn Abi Labibah, then Imam al-Dhahabi has mentioned him in "Mizan al-I'tidal", and if he is Ibn Labibah, then I do not know him.
