وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أَكُونُ فِي الرَّمْلِ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ أَوْ خَمْسَةَ أَشْهُرٍ ، فَتَكُونُ فِينَا النُّفَسَاءُ وَالْحَائِضُ وَالْجُنُبُ ، فَمَا تَرَى ؟ قَالَ : " عَلَيْكَ بِالتُّرَابِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَقَالَ فِيهِ : " عَلَيْكَ بِالْأَرْضِ " ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْمُثْنِي بْنُ الصَّبَاحِ ، وَالْأَكْثَرُ عَلَى تَضْعِيفِهِ . وَرَوَى عَيَّاشٌ عَنِ ابْنِ مَعِينٍ تَوْثِيقَهُ ، وَرَوَى مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَعِينٍ : ضَعِيفٌ ، يُكْتَبُ حَدِيثُهُ وَلَا يُتْرَكُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَقَالَ فِيهِ : " عَلَيْكَ بِالْأَرْضِ " ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْمُثْنِي بْنُ الصَّبَاحِ ، وَالْأَكْثَرُ عَلَى تَضْعِيفِهِ . وَرَوَى عَيَّاشٌ عَنِ ابْنِ مَعِينٍ تَوْثِيقَهُ ، وَرَوَى مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَعِينٍ : ضَعِيفٌ ، يُكْتَبُ حَدِيثُهُ وَلَا يُتْرَكُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I stay in the sands for four or five months, and among us there are women in postnatal bleeding, menstruating women and people who are sexually impure (junub). So what is your view about this?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You must use dust."
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it, and he (Abu Ya'la) recorded these words in it: "You must use the earth."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains al-Muthanna bin al-Sabbah, whom most have declared da'if (weak). Ayyash narrated from Yahya bin Ma'in that he declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and Mu'awiyah bin Salih narrated from Yahya bin Ma'in
that he said: He is da'if (weak), but his hadith is to be written down and is not to be abandoned.
