Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent (as a Prophet), Chosroes sent a message to his appointed governor over Yemen and the neighbouring Arab lands - the name of that governor was "Badham" - saying: I have received word that a man has appeared in your region who claims that he is a Prophet. Tell him either to desist from this, or else I will send to him men who will kill him and his people. The narrator says: The messenger of "Badham" came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had this been something that I was doing of my own accord, I would have desisted from it; but Allah Almighty has sent me." That messenger stayed with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for some time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "My Lord has had Chosroes killed, and after today there will be no Chosroes; and He has had Caesar killed, and after today there will be no Caesar." The narrator says: He noted down the hour in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this, noted down the day on which he said it, and noted down the month in which he said it. He went back to Badham, and (found that) Chosroes had died and Caesar had been killed.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the "Sahih", except for Kathir bin Ziyad, and he is thiqah (trustworthy). Imam Ahmad recorded a part of it, and Imam al-Bazzar likewise.
