وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَنَا أَحْمَدُ وَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ الَّذِي أَحْشُرُ النَّاسَ عَلَى قَدَمِي ، وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي الَّذِي يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِهِ الْكُفْرَ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَانَ لِوَاءُ الْحَمْدِ مَعِي وَكُنْتُ إِمَامَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَصَاحِبَ شَفَاعَتِهِمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ قِيلَ فِيهِ : لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am Ahmad, I am Muhammad, and I am al-Hashir (the Gatherer), at whose feet the people will be gathered; and I am al-Mahi (the Effacer), through whom Allah Almighty will efface disbelief. When the Day of Resurrection comes, the 'Banner of Praise' will be with me, and I will be the leader of the 'Messengers' and their intercessor."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Urwah bin Marwan, about whom it has been said: He is not strong; the remaining narrators of this report have been declared trustworthy.
