Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13839

Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abi al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My mother told me that she was present with Sayyidah Aminah (may Allah be pleased with her) when she gave birth to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When the pains of labour began, I saw the stars as if they were coming down, until I felt that they might fall upon me. When the birth took place, a light came out from her body by which the whole house in which we were became illuminated, and the whole house and its surroundings were lit up. Whatever I looked at, I saw only light there.
At-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abd al-Aziz bin Imran, who is matruk (abandoned).
