بَابٌ فِي كَرَامَةِ أَصْلِهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
The nobility of the lineage of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Majma al-Zawaid 13834 — The nobility of the lineage of the Prophet ﷺ
وَعَنِ الْجَفْشِيشِ الْكِنْدِيِّ قَالَ : جَاءَ قَوْمٌ مِنْ كِنْدَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالُوا : أَنْتَ مِنَّا . وَادَّعَوْهُ فَقَالَ : " لَا نَقْفُو أُمَّنَا وَلَا نَنْتَفِي مِنْ أَبِينَا ، نَحْنُ وَلَدُ النَّضْرِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ " .
Sayyiduna al-Jafshish al-Kindi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some people of the tribe of Kindah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "You are from us." They claimed kinship with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We do not attribute ourselves to our mother, nor do we disown our father. We are the descendants of al-Nadr bin Kinanah."
