بَابٌ فِي كَرَامَةِ أَصْلِهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

وَعَنِ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا وَلَّدَنِي مِنْ سِفَاحِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ شَيْءٌ ، وَمَا وَلَّدَنِي إِلَّا نِكَاحٌ كَنِكَاحِ الْإِسْلَامِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنِ الْمَدِينِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحُوَيْرِثِ ، وَلَمْ أَعْرِفِ الْمَدِينِيَّ وَلَا شَيْخَهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Nothing of the fornication of the Age of Ignorance had any part in my birth; I was born only through marriage, like the marriage of Islam."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from al-Madini from Abu al-Huwayrith, and I know neither al-Madini nor his teacher; the rest of its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
