Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you are asked which of the two terms Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) completed, then say: the better of the two, the more complete and the more virtuous. And if you are asked which of the two women he married, then say: the younger of them. She is the one who came and said: 'O my father, hire him, for he will prove the best employee; he is strong and trustworthy.' Sayyiduna Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) asked: 'Where did you see his strength?' She said: 'He took hold of a heavy stone and moved it away from the well.' Sayyiduna Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) asked: 'Where did you see his trustworthiness?' She said: 'He said: Walk behind me, and do not walk in front of me.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar recorded it in abridged form. Al-Tabarani's chain contains Uwayd bin Abi Imran al-Jawni, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared da'if (weak), while Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy); the rest of al-Tabarani's narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). Some hadith on this subject have already passed in the chapter on Surah al-Qasas.
