وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ عِنْدَهُ : نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ نَتَكَلَّفَ لِلضَّيْفِ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَنَا .
In a narration recorded by him, the words are: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from going to trouble for a guest over something we do not have."
