Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever Allah Almighty has granted blessings should praise Allah Almighty abundantly; whoever's worries are many should seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty; whoever finds his provision slow in coming to him should say abundantly 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no might and no power except with Allah); whoever stays with a people as a guest must never fast (a voluntary fast) without their permission; and whoever enters the house of a people should sit wherever they direct him, for they know best the private matters of their house."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and added these words in it: "Indeed, among the sins on account of which displeasure falls upon the one who commits them are: rancour in envy, laziness in worship and hardship in livelihood." Its chain contains a narrator, Yunus bin Tamim; Imam al-Dhahabi mentioned him in "Mizan al-I'tidal" and cited this hadith in his biography, and he did not report from anyone that he was declared weak.
