Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13497

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever has a daughter and brings her up and brings her up well, teaches her and teaches her well, and generously gives her of the blessings of Allah Almighty that Allah Almighty has granted him, that girl will become a protection and a shield for him from Hell."
Imam Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Talhah bin Zayd, and he is a fabricator of hadith.
