وَعَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا تَكْرَهُوا الْبَنَاتَ ، فَإِنَّهُنَّ الْمُؤْنِسَاتُ الْغَالِيَاتُ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not dislike daughters! For they are affectionate and (most) precious."
Imam Ahmad and Imam Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, whose hadith is hasan (good), and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
