وَعَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْجِهَادَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ . قَالَ : " أُمُّكَ حَيَّةٌ ؟ " . قُلْتُ : نَعَمْ . قَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الْزَمْ رِجْلَهَا فَثَمَّ الْجَنَّةُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Talhah bin Mu'awiyah al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I want to take part in jihad in the path of Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Is your mother alive?" I replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Stay by her feet; Paradise is there."
Al-Tabarani recorded it from Ibn Ishaq, who is a mudallis, from Muhammad bin Talhah, whom I do not know. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
