Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13380

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty created the wind, lodged it in a house and closed its door. If that door were opened, it (the wind) would blow away everything between the heaven and the earth. It does not come to you (in full); it comes to you only through the crack of the door. You call it 'al-Janub' (the south wind), while with Allah Almighty it is 'al-Adhib'."
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Yazid bin Iyad bin Ju'dah, who is a kadhdhab (liar).
