وَعَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ قَالَ : إِنَّ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ دِيكًا تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ ، جَنَاحُهُ فِي الْهَوَاءِ ، وَبَرَاثِنُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ فِي الْأَسْحَارِ وَأَذَانُ الصَّلَوَاتِ خَفَقَ بِجَنَاحِهِ ، وَصَفَّقَ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ ، فَيُسَبِّحُ الدِّيَكَةُ ، فَتُجِيبُهُ بِالتَّسْبِيحِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ وَقَدْ حَسُنَ حَدِيثُهُ .
Sayyiduna Safwan bin Assal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Allah Almighty has created a rooster beneath the Throne whose wings are in the air and whose talons are in the earth. When it is the time of suhur, or the time of the call to prayer, it flaps its wings and glorifies Allah, and the roosters (of the world) also glorify Allah, answering it with glorification.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Asim bin Bahdalah, who is da'if (weak). His hadith has been declared hasan (good).
