Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13297

Abu Nawfal bin Abi Aqrab narrates: Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked: "Was poetry listened to in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" She replied: "It was the most disliked speech to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
