عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِذَا تَنَخَّمَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُغَيِّبْ نُخَامَتَهُ ; لَا تُصِيبُ جِلْدَ مُؤْمِنٍ أَوْ ثَوْبَهُ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "When one of you has phlegm to spit, let him bury his spittle (in the earth), so that it does not get on the skin or the clothes of a believer."
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
