وَعَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ التَّيْهَانِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْمُسْتَشَارُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مِنْ طَرِيقِ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Haytham bin al-Tayyihan (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one whose counsel is sought is made a trustee."
This narration was recorded by Imam al-Tabarani through his grandfather Abd al-Rahman bin Muhammad bin Zayd, and I do not know either of them. The remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
