وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنِّي لَأَمْزَحُ وَلَا أَقُولُ إِلَّا حَقًّا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do jest, but I say nothing but the truth."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its chain is hasan (good).
