Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13097

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The believer is friendly and is befriended, and there is no good in one who is neither friendly nor befriended."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Mus'ab bin Thabit, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), and whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared da'if (weak). The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
