Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A Muslim's life, honour and wealth are sacred to another Muslim. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim; he does not wrong him and he does not disgrace him. Taqwa is here." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this while pointing with his blessed hand toward the heart, (and he further said:) "It is enough evil for a person that he looks down on his Muslim brother." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: He attributed this narration in abridged form to al-Tirmidhi, but I did not find that narration in the copy (of Jami' al-Tirmidhi) that I have.
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is jayyid (good).
