Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13069

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "In the head of every human being there is a bridle, which is in the hand of an angel. When he adopts humility, it is said to the angel: 'Raise his bridle,' and when he is arrogant, it is said to the angel: 'Lower his bridle.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
