بَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ ، كَالْمُشْرِفِ عَلَى الْهَلَكَةِ " .

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Reviling a Muslim is wickedness (fusuq), and fighting him (or killing him) is disbelief (kufr)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Kathir bin Yahya, who is da'if (weak).
