Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 13012

Sayyiduna Amr bin al-Nu'man bin Muqarrin (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to a gathering of the Ansar, among whom was a man known for foul speech. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Reviling a Muslim is wickedness (fusuq), and fighting him (or killing him) is disbelief (kufr)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Abu Khalid al-Walibi, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
