Majma al-Zawaid 13006 — The prohibition of cursing and reviling

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The believer is not one who taunts or one who curses. The narrator says: I never heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) curse anyone, except in the case of one man.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Kathir bin Zayd, whom a group declared thiqah (trustworthy), and there is some weakness in him. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
