Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 12938

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Do not sit in gatherings (in the streets). If you must do so, then return the greeting, lower your gazes, guide people on the way and help with loading burdens."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Muhammad bin Abi Layla, who is thiqah (trustworthy) but has a poor memory, and the rest of its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
